The Rules for the Use of Natural Gas, approved by Resolution No. 319 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 31 May 2024, require wholesale consumers to equip their metering stations with automated metering systems featuring remotely controlled shutoff devices. In 2026 the industry moves to mandatory adoption: from 1 October, gas metering stations without remote shutoff valves will no longer be permitted.
